CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — A cruise ship that navigated tough seas off the South Carolina coast over the Memorial Day weekend has resumed crusing on its subsequent cruise, Carnival Cruise Strains stated Monday.
Terrified passengers on the Carnival Sunshine took to social media to put up video of water pouring by a flooded hallway on a cabin stage and footage of on-board shops in shambles, with merchandise strewn about on the ground as massive waves swelled on the ocean.
Passenger Daniel Taylor stated the crew “left us blind, not reassuring us what was happening, the place we have been heading to, what the plan was,” WCIV-TV reported.
“They may have up to date us and tell us one thing,” he stated.
The Carnival Sunshine’s return to Charleston, South Carolina, from the Bahamas on Saturday was delayed by extended unhealthy climate and tough seas within the space, the Miami-based firm stated in a press release to The Related Press on Monday. The vessel’s subsequent cruise scheduled to depart Charleston this weekend was delayed, however is now crusing, the assertion stated.
