The Nationwide Highway Security Authority (NRSA) has referred to as for the availability of relaxation stops alongside main highways to assist sort out rising incidence of street accidents.

He was talking at a gathering with stakeholders in Accra to deliberate on the causes of street accidents and discover options to the issue.
The stakeholders included the Ghana Roads and Highways, Ghana Shippers Authority, and Motto Visitors and Transport Division (MTTD) of the Ghana Police.
The remaining have been Ministry of Roads and Highways, City Roads, J.Okay Horgle Transport Restricted, Bono East Regional Coordinating Council and chiefs from the Kwahu Conventional space.
Mr Adonteng stated the authority had through the years recorded crashes because of drivers parking at unauthorised locations on the highways which posed hazard to different drivers, particularly at evening.
The performing Director for Planning and Programmes on the NRSA, Mr Daniel Wuaku, stated that there had been a discount in crashes, accidents and deaths by – 5.61 per cent, – 5.23 per cent and -8.80 per cent respectively from January to April, 2022.
Preliminary investigation carried out by the Authority, he revealed, indicated that fifty per cent of deadly crashes occurred because of fatigue driving in addition to indiscriminate parking of heavy and lengthy autos.
Many of the individuals expressed their concern about accidents on the highways and pledged to assist the NRSA and stakeholders to sort out the issue.
