The Liberal mayor of Hawkesbury Council has been stabbed throughout a house invasion northwest of Sydney, with police saying it was possible a case of mistaken id.
Mayor Patrick Conolly, 32, was stabbed within the arm after being threatened by a bunch of six males at his Bligh Park residence, close to Windsor early on Monday.
Police say the lads pressured their manner into the house a while earlier than about 12.45am, when Mr Conolly was residence together with his spouse and 4 kids, who have been shaken however not harmed.
