Chris Christie branded Vivek Ramaswamy the “most obnoxious blowhard in America” as he angrily slammed his Republican rival throughout the celebration’s newest debate.
The previous New Jersey governor misplaced his cool and attacked Mr Ramaswamy over his stance on ending Russia’s unprovoked warfare in Ukraine, claiming he needed to appease Vladimir Putin and trusted Moscow over China.
“That’s not my deal, that’s not my deal,” Mr Ramaswamy stated in response to the allegation.
“You do that each time,” countered Mr Christie as he wagged his finger in the direction of him.
“Don’t interrupt me, I don’t interrupt you,” he continued as Mr Ramaswamy stated “Go forward ship these youngsters to die” in reference to younger American troopers despatched abroad.
“You do that at each debate. You exit on the stump and say one thing, all of us see it on video, we confront you on the talk stage, you say you didn’t say it and then you definitely again away,” Mr Christie stated.
As Mr Ramaswamy accused him of “spewing nonsense” Mr Christie, rising visibly extra aggravated, loudly replied, “I’m not carried out but.”
“That is the fourth debate wherein inside the first 20 minutes you’ll be voted essentially the most obnoxious blowhard in America so shut up for a short while,” stated Mr Christie to cheers from the Alabama viewers.
And he continued: “We are actually 25 minutes into this debate and he (Ramaswamy) has insulted Nikki Haley’s fundamental intelligence, not her positions, her fundamental intelligence…I’ll let you know this, I’ve identified her for 12 years, which is longer than he’s been voting in a Republican major, and whereas we disagree about some points, and we disagree about who ought to be president of the USA, what we don’t disagree on is that it is a good, achieved lady and it is best to cease insulting her.”
The defence of Ms Haley drew a big cheer from the viewers and a coy smile from Donald Trump’s former ambassador to the United Nations.
