Composer and songwriter Marc Shaiman will obtain the excellent profession achievement award on the 14th annual Hollywood Music in Media Awards. The ceremony is ready for Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 8:00 p.m. at The Avalon in Hollywood.
Previous recipients of that profession honor embrace Kenny Loggins, Smokey Robinson, Diane Warren, Earth Wind & Fireplace, Glen Campbell, Dave Mason, John Debney and Christopher Younger.
Shaiman, 63, has gained a Tony and a Grammy (each for Hairspray and the following unique solid album) and a Primetime Emmy (for writing in a range or music program for his contributions to the 1992 Oscar telecast).
