A 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of homicide in reference to the deadly stabbing of a Metro B (Pink) Line passenger on Thursday.
Police took Randy Nash into custody at 9:10 pm Saturday close to the 1000 block of West eighty fifth Avenue, two days after he allegedly plunged a knife into the higher torso of 23-year-old Jesse Rodriguez, based on a Los Angeles Police Division press launch.
Police say Nash stabbed Rodriguez “with out warning or provocation” on the prepare at Pershing Sq. station in downtown Los Angeles at 5:20 pm Thursday, then ran away. Rodriguez was pronounced useless at an area hospital.
Nash is being held on $2 million bail.
