An Irvine lady who admitted to taping shut the mouths of a number of canines has been arrested on suspicion of three counts of felony animal cruelty, police stated.
Gabriela Barrera, 21, was arrested Saturday after Irvine Police Division Animal Service officers went to a house on Eastshore concerning studies of whimpering canines on the patio.
A resident instructed police that they’d seen a number of canines with their snouts taped shut, in line with an Irvine police information launch. Officers stated they discovered one canine with masking tape round its snout on the house’s patio and heard whimpering within the space.
Barrera returned house as officers had been investigating and allegedly instructed them that she had taped the canines’ snouts to maintain them from biting and barking at each other, in line with police.
