Crews started to get the higher hand Monday evening on a wildfire that has charred a whole bunch of acres and pressured evacuations in Riverside County.
The Ramona fireplace was first reported at 2:11 p.m. close to the intersection of Ramona Expressway and Warren Highway within the Riverside County metropolis of San Jacinto. As of 8:30 p.m., the blaze had grown to 328 acres, in response to the California Division of Forestry and Fireplace Safety.
San Jacinto’s Cove neighborhood and the realm alongside Warren Highway had been evacuated, however these orders had been lifted Monday night.
The hearth was 20% contained as of 8:30 p.m., officers stated.
No accidents have been reported, and no constructions have been broken, in response to Capt. Richard Cordova of the Cal Fireplace/Riverside County Fireplace Division.
“The climate has been very useful,” Cordova stated. “Within the night hours, the cooler temperatures and humidity have allowed our firefighters to remain out longer and hopefully mop up and include the incident.”
Cordova stated investigators are working to find out the reason for the blaze.
