Former world champion Amir Khan has stated he was robbed at gunpoint in London on Monday night.
The 35-year-old posted on Twitter saying he and his spouse Faryal have been secure after an incident by which he was confronted by two males in Leyton, together with his watch being stolen.
Khan tweeted: “Simply had my watch taken off me at gun level in East London, Leyton.
“I crossed the street with Faryal, fortunately she was few steps behind me. Two males ran to me, he requested for my watch whist having a gun pointed in my face.
“The principle factor is we’re each secure.”
Khan, the previous WBA and IBF light-welterweight champion, was overwhelmed by fellow Briton Kell Brook by way of a sixth-round stoppage in Manchester in February.
