MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — An investigation is underway Friday morning after a deadly wrong-way crash involving alcohol in Minnetonka.
Based on the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash occurred shortly earlier than 4 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 394.

A motorist in a Jeep Wrangler entered the incorrect approach onto the eastbound lanes of Interstate 394 from sixth Road in downtown Minneapolis, the patrol stated, and continued west.
The motorist later struck one other motorist in a Chrysler Sebring that was touring eastbound close to Plymouth Highway. The motive force of the Chrysler, a 30-year-old Melrose man, was killed within the crash.
The passenger within the Chrysler, a 21-year-old girl, suffered non-life threatening accidents and was taken to Hennepin Healthcare.

The motive force of the Jeep, a 20-year-old St. Anthony man, additionally suffered non-life threatening accidents. He was taken to North Memorial.
The state patrol says alcohol was concerned with the driving force of the Jeep.
